Michael Basov was born in the city of Taganrog, Russia on September, 16, 1977. The spheres of his activity are videoart, photography and literature. His videoart has been exhibited internationally and in Russia in festivals, gallery exhibitions. M. Basov curates collective photo exhibitions in Taganrog (Russia). He and photographer Natalia Basova are the authors of the art-project “The views of the cities of the world from 1 m. 75 sm. height”. (Gallery “Experiment”, Rostov-on-Don, Russia) & others. Michael Basov took part in collateral exhibition of the 53rd Venice Biennale of Visual Arts “Parallel Worlds: Fleeting Realities” ; The 6 th Busan International Video Festival; International Installation/ video / performance festival (Busan city hall Gallery; organizer:Busan artist association), International Video-art Festival of Cadaqués “Tramuntana 09”.
